FC Dallas Youth Programs provide you with a wealth of resources, opportunities, and assistance. This includes the FCD CURRICULUM, The FCD professional Team, and coaching staff. Toyota Stadium and Toyota Soccer Center, MLS games, The Juniors Program, FCD player appearances, a full time front office staff to help in administrative work and collections, fundraising opportunities, the FCD Foundation, college advising, international partnerships, a rapidly growing affiliate program, pool training, national recognition, School of Excellence camps, continuing education for our coaches, professional camps and clinics, tradition, and success… The future of youth soccer is in The FCD Way©. We encourage our players to "find the way...", or, "busca la forma", as it is said in Spanish.

THE FCD WAY is a collective method of soccer coaching and play; a system that embodies more than just the type of soccer skills and techniques we focus on on the field. It reaches beyond “winning” and instead challenges players to focus on success and fulfillment of both ON and OFF the field achievements.

The FCD Way shapes the essence of our development program. It incorporates player welfare, integrity, individual effort, academic support, college preparation, sportsmanship, work ethic, and an unparalleled sense of honor and respect for the game. Our focus extends beyond giving kids the opportunity to success in soccer- we want them to succeed in their futures.

Club Philosophy

The FCDY Soccer Curriculum will provide each player the opportunity to play soccer in a supportive and rewarding environment that emphasizes player development in a challenging, yet enjoyable way. It is a superior alternative to recreational team programs and offers Boys and Girls age U7-U19 the opportunity for advanced team development in soccer through a detailed progressive curriculum. The FCDY Soccer Curriculum is committed to bringing more technical expertise into each specific age-group program, creating a curriculum of instruction specific to developmental needs at each age group level. The FCDY Soccer Curriculum has the focused objective of developing players of all skill levels and preparing those players for the game at the competitive level.

International Competition

International competition is a cornerstone of the FC Dallas player development philosophy. Multiple teams in our Academy compete in international tournaments and competitions throughout the year. The Boys U-14s often travel to Bolivia to compete in the Tahuici International Tournament as well as the U-17s who compete in an international competition against Liga MX Teams in Mexico City. The U-17s also compete in the Generation Adidas Cup every year which hosts a multitude of international and domestic Academy teams and is ranked as one of the best tournaments of the year.

Academy teams have competed against teams from Brazil, Bolivia, Mexico, Canada, Spain, England, Germany, Qatar, and others. They have hosted international powers right here in Frisco as well including Tigres, Chelsea, and FC Barcelona. In 2010 the Boys Academy took a select group of players to compete in the AEGON Future Cup in Amsterdam where they faced teams from AFC AJAX, FC Barcelona, Liverpool FC, FC Bayern Munich, AC Milan, among many other international teams.

Meaningful Training

Academy teams spend a large amount of time focused on training to improve as individuals and as a team. The teams and players receive direct feedback as well as evaluations from the FC Dallas professional staff. To round out the training environment, Academy players are tested in their physical capabilities using the FCD Way testing methodology. FCD Development Academy players also receive the FCD Way curriculum for soccer-specific athletic training. Each athlete builds and learns an in-depth understanding of how to compare themselves physically against their peers and what they need to do to achieve their personal optimal performance.

Competitive Environment

The Academy program features teams from the top youth clubs from around the country. National Team scouts regularly attend Academy games, so players are evaluated over the course of the season, in their natural positions, allowing for better and more accurate assessments. In 2008, more than 100 players from Academy clubs were included in U.S. Youth National Teams and almost 800 graduates from the inaugural Academy class participated in college soccer the following fall.

Virtually all college programs use the Academy program as a scouting vehicle and the program has received increased attention from professional scouts representing domestic and international clubs. Since 2008 the FC Dallas Academy has won 4 USSDA National Championships and no other club has won more than 2.
